We are proud to announce the safe completion of the 250th Ship to Ship Transfer (“STS”) loading the Floating Storage and Regas Unit (“FSRU”) NUSANTARA REGAS SATU. Located in Jakarta bay area, Indonesia since 2012, the FSRU has successfully loaded approx. 28,725,000M3 of Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”) which the Nusantara Regas Satu then converts to gas and sends it down the pipeline to the power plants in Jakarta.
We’d like to thank all those involved both onboard and ashore in achieving this significant milestone. We take this opportunity to extend special thanks to many people who have made this possible; to the Charterers, PT Nusantara Regas and their staff, to Golar Management and PT Equinox as managers and sub managers respectively as well as to all Officers and Crew for their continuing hard work, dedication and excellent co-operation.
The FSRU Nusantara Regas Satu is owned by PT Golar Indonesia, a joint venture between PT Pesona Sentra Utama and Golar LNG Partners LP, Bermuda. NRS was converted to become a FSRU from an LNG Carrier and a mooring system was specifically designed and built for this project. PT Nusantara Regas, a joint venture between PERTAMINA and PGN, itself a Subsidiary of PERTAMINA.
